IslamicArtsMuseumMalaysia is truly Asia! The city has both the tastes of a third world country as well that of a fast developing one. It has an ethnic mix of Indians, Chinese and Malay communities and one feels at home here. Kuala Lumpur is the capital city of Malaysia and it has lot of attractions in and around it.

The Petronas Towers are the crown of Kuala Lumpur. They till 2003 were amongst the tallest building in the world. The towers allow 1200 tourists daily which is a symbol of Kuala Lumpur’s progress into modernity.

The tall steel structures and the humdrums around it tell one that Kuala Lumpur is fast emerging in the global tourism sector.

Since Kuala Lumpur has a mix of many ethnic groups such as Indians, Chinese, Malay, Sikhs, Thais and Indonesians, it has developed a tolerance and warmth for all. The many ethnic groups spice up the Kuala Lumpur life with their own cultures.

This makes the city a true blend of Asia. It is a shopper’s paradise. One can buy good fashionable clothes at reasonable prices. Not to mention the variety of it. One can visit the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park that is home to many magnificent birds.

One can also watch the bird shows that are organised daily at 12.30pm and 3.30 pm. ‘The Bintang Walk’ on the busiest streets of Bukit Bintang offers one loads of coffee and shopping. One just goes crazy over the place and there is no dearth of either coffee or shopping or fun.

Then there is the Islamic Arts Museum. This is South East Asia’s largest Islamic Art Museum and is about 3,000 Sq. km. The museum has miniature models of almost all mosques around the world. It displays a good deal of Islamic arts and culture. Islamic arts and crafts can also be bought from shops around the museum.
