Thorpe Park is a theme park located in Surrey in England and is a major hit among the kids. The nearest railway station is Staines. There are direct trains from Waterloo to this station. Staines can also be reached from other stations like Reading, Weybridge ans Windsor and Eaton Riverside.
There are buses from Staines railway station every 20 min. The on – the – day price for an adult ticket is 38 GBP and for a family of four it is 96 GBP.
A lot of new rides and attractions have been added to Thorpe Park and the latest one is SAW ALIVE. Based on the popular horror movie this is the world’s most terrifying roller coaster as you travel through 6 blood curdling rooms. The next ride is Detonator which is very thrilling. You can enjoy the surrounding views for a few seconds before the drop @ 45mph. Depth Charge is Thorpe Park’s four lane slide that will plunge you 40 ft on the yellow inflatable and you will be wet, guaranteed.
Rumba Rapids will toss you about in the wild waters. This is a delightful ride and the kids will really love it. Logger’s Leap is the ride which will give you a double drop. This is a thrilling and hair rising ride and will make you wet twice over. You will get fooled by the calm nature of the ride till you reach the caves.
After so many rides and thrills you are bound to feel hungry and Thorpe Park has around 10 food joints. The Desperado’s Mexican Cantina is the perfect place to have a fajita wrap, burrito or a nacho. The Glasshouse Kitchen and Bar has a wide selection of lasagna, spaghetti, cheese and bacon burger and children’s meals. The Noodle Bar is the perfect place to savor Oriental cuisine. The usual favorites here are the Sweet and Sour chicken, Stir Fried vegetables, Beef with Black bean sauce and Duck with Hoi Sin sauce.
