There are many islands in the region such as the Galapagos Islands, the Easter Island. These islands are a great attraction to any visitor. There are a number of great beaches as well in the region. The pristine beaches of Brazil are a great attraction to the tourists.

The finest examples of these ruins are Machu Pichhhu and Inca cities. Other fine examples of ancient ruins are Serra da Capivara which has the oldest rock painting. Angel Falls:

It is situated in the Canaima national park and is the highest waterfall in the world. It is situated in the South American country of Venezuela. It is a UNESCO world heritage site.
