Zagreb International Airport acts as the entry point to the city for travelers choosing to use flights. From the airport, you will need to hire taxis to get into the city. You may even reach the place via trains as Zagreb acts a railway hub, and is well connected to key European cities like Budapest, Vienna, Zurich, Munich, Salzburg, Berlin, Venice, Sarajevo, Ljubljana, Belgrade and Thessalonika.
Zagreb is famous for its museums, parks, Medvednica – the preserved fortress, and the central cemetery called Mirogoj. The museums of Zagreb not only display objects related to the city’s history but also have attractive art collections, which are of considerable artistic and historical value. Some of the things worth a watch in these museums are the longest text of the world in Etruscan, the Zagreb Mummy, and the remains of homo Krapinensis (Neanderthal prehistoric man).
The city of Zagreb is also famous for its well-maintained parks and fountains, along with the avenues of flowers and trees, which you can find in the central part of town at Zrinjevac. The botanical gardens and the parks in Marulić as well as Tito Squares truly present a site to behold. Maksimir – located in the eastern part of the region, was the foremost public promenade in this region of Europe, which was opened to public in 1794.
In a nutshell, Zagreb offers a lot of variety to the tourists that they can explore, thereby enriching their own existence. So, come to the place to experience all these and more for yourself!
