Disneyland is spread across 85 acres and has nine different themed lands. Main Street, Frontierland, Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Critter Country, Holidayland, Mickey’s Toontown and New Orleans Square are the themed lands at Disneyland. It is advised to wear walking shoes, carry sunscreen and extra water when you visit the park. Splash Mountain inside Critter Country is one of the hottest rides during the summers.
Guests with web access phones can download free Disneyland application that would give up-to-date information on wait time for each of the rides. Make sure you don’t miss the Disneyland parade and also check in on Disneyland character appearance schedule. There are many restaurants in the theme park and most of them offer discounts to pass holders. The best time to visit Disneyland is during the Christmas season.

The beautiful Merced River flows through its green grassy valley. It is surrounded by sheer, near vertical cliffs nearly a mile high. The eyes of a visitor are first graced by huge granite monoliths or massive rocks, each made from a single block of stone. They are so extraordinary that they have been given individual names. Half Dome, one of the most photographed in the world has for millions of years proudly presented itself to whosoever cared to look at it. El Capitan, a huge granite monolith claiming it’s also one of the most photographed locations marks the grand scale of the Yosemite Valley.
Everything about Yosemite National Park is grand in scale. Yosemite’s solid granite dome assemblage is the largest in the world. Yosemite’s waterfalls flow gracefully from the tops of the granite mountains to the valleys far below. Here you see the Yosemite falls, the highest waterfalls in North America, more than 13 times the height of Niagara and the second highest in the world. It spills into the Yosemite Valley for a total of 2425 feet, first dropping at 1430 ft and the second drop of 320 ft. In between these drops is a series of cascades that rip the water into a frenzy of spray splashing the sides of the gorge.
