Savill Court is a beautifully British hotel that effortlessly captures the simplicity of English countryside. From the grandiose of the building itself, to the rolling green woodland that surrounds it, from the moment you enter the grounds you are in the mood to relax and unwind. The attentive and friendly staff go out of their way to make you at ease, to the point where you feel like a friend staying over at a manor house!
One of the main features of the Hotel is The Spa. Situated on the lower ground floor, the lift goes directly to The Spa entrance from your floor, so you can amble down in the snuggly robe and slippers provided in your room without having to parade through the entire hotel! You automatically feel like a celebrity being given private access!
The Spa itself is in keeping with the simplistic theme of the hotel and caters to your needs without being fussy or trying too hard to impress. Most Spas try to lull you into a state of relaxation with dim lighting and false mood enhancing trickery, but everything about this was fresh and revitalizing. From the pool and jacuzzi in the bright, glass roof conservatory, complete with steam room, sauna and hot and cold splash shower, to the Relaxation Room with refreshments, which you can dip in and out of throughout your Spa Experience.
The Spa’s Double Treatment rooms created a luscious and seductive ambience, with two beds so couples and friends can enjoy treatments at the same time. My lovely therapist catered the Facial I had (following a dreamy Head, Neck and Shoulder massage) to my skin’s own personal needs – it was feeling a little dehydrated and dry from the London toxins, but was left feeling plump and youthful… and I was left feeling de-stressed and blissed-out!
When it comes to catering and finishing touches at Savill Court, they are refined and elegant. A luxury mini box of chocolates and bowl of fruit awaits you in your room upon arrival. The Bar serves warm, home made biscuits with drinks, which can be taken out onto the terrace for al fresco aperitifs or in their grand lounge area, complete with stunning fireplace.
Dinner in the main hall is served by keen staff, eager to please, nothing ever seems too much trouble – which is always a relief to the British Diner, never want to put anyone out! The stylish and delicate menu, a typically English affair, harks back to the historical offerings one might get at a Royal Banquette – which fits in perfectly with the whole feel of the hotel. And being only 10 minutes away from Windsor Castle and town centre, you certainly do feel like Lord and Lady of the Manor during your stay at Savill Court!
